Maynard Linked With Baggies
Nicky Maynard is an apparent target for Championship side West Bromwich Albion. The news, as revealed by the ever reliable Daily Star, will come as no surprise to fans who have seen him score five in his last four games.
The 21 year old has truly re-found his form since returning from a broken leg that kept him out for the first half of the season. With nine goals in just half a season, with another third of that being used to regain match fitness, it leaves fans wondering what could have been had Maynard not broken his leg 20 minutes into the season.
Last season Maynard notched up 19 goals, having scored with his first touch in professional football in the final game of the 05/06 season.
With still two years left on Nicky's contract it would be safe to assume that a large fee would be required for his services when expected interest shows up this summer.
