'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ryan Lowe Joins The Hatters

It's been confirmed that Ryan Lowe has joined Stockport County on loan for the rest of the season. It's been fairly well known for a couple of months now that the former Chester City man would be eventually making a temporary switch away from Gresty Road after fading away from the team this season.

Lowey has made over 60 appearances for the Alex since signing on a free transfer in May 2006. He has largely impressed Alex fans with his creativity either from the wing or up front, and his hat-trick in a 5-1 home win over Carlisle last season will always remain his high point in a red shirt.

However, new signings and a couple of poor performances have seen Lowe fade away from the team all together and today's news comes as no surprise.

Chester City had previously shown interest in taking Lowe but Holland decided to sit and wait on a decision, with the signing of Steve Jones being the decisive factor.

Coincidentally Lowe, who still has a year on his contract, looks set to make his debut for Stockport on Saturday against his former club Chester having trained with his new team mates today. The Hatters are currently on a seven game unbeaten run, having won six of them. They sit four points behind the automatic promotion places in League Two.

Vital Crewe wish Lowey luck for the rest of the season, and I for one hope he can find enough form and confidence to remain at the Alex past this summer.
