'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's been a good week for us

Steve Holland is pleased to have taken six points and six goals from the last two games following the 3-1 home win over Hartlepool.

The first coach was speaking to crewealex.net following the game and felt that the team were unlucky not to get a clean sheet, with the Monkey Hangers' Porter scoring a consolation 10 minutes from time.

Holland said: ''It was a good afternoon although disappointing not to get the clean sheet. Three goals is terrific, the second week we have done that and we have probably had one or two chances where we could have increased that. So it's been a good week for us.''

On the game itself he admitted his relief when Pope headed in the Alex's third goal just four minutes after Porter's goal had made it an edgy 2-1.

Holland told the official site: ''At 3-0 that would have made it comfortable, at 2-0 you never know. When they got one back, that made us a bit edgy, the third goal made us breath a little bit easier at the end.'
