Deano To Stay?

It's all about loans this week, with Holland looking to extend the loan of Luton Town's Dean Morgan. The winger-cum-striker has impressed in his couple of games so far, playing a big part in all three goals at Gillingham on Saturday, in which he scored one.

His pace and flair have certainly added a lot to the side that has lacked such for so long this season. With rules stating that Morgan cannot play against Luton a week on Saturday then the bank holiday Monday clash at Walsall will be his last game - despite his loan deal not ending till April 3rd. It leaves Steve Holland very keen to keep hold of his new match winner.

However, Morgan's wages are far above what the Alex can afford (which is why Luton are currently struggling financially) and Holland knows that it will prove a stumbling block.

Holland told the official site: 'If he can produce performances like that then he would be more than a useful acquisition for us between now and the end of the season. In relation to extending his loan deal, a lot would depend on his club, and of course Dean himself.

'There is also the financial implications because a player like Dean is out of our wage bracket. We don't have a bottomless pit here and it is something you have to consider when you are loaning players in. We cannot afford to just collect players; they have to make a difference to us.'
