Possible Return For Roberts?

Gary Roberts mk 2 scored for Ipswich Town's reserves last night, opening up the possibility of a return to Gresty Road. The 23 year old winger spent three weeks at the Alex in February but injury cut his impressive spell short.

Steve Holland had been very vocal about extending the deal once Roberts has overcome his achilles injury but harboured doubts over whether Ipswich boss Jim Magilton would allow Roberts to return. A couple of weeks ago Holland was quoted as saying:

''Jim Magilton was reluctant to let him out in the first place so he may elect to keep Gary there to supplement his own attack anyway.''

However, with Roberts completing a reserve game, scoring in a 5-0 win over Colchester, but still looking unlikely to get games at Portman Road it is thought that Magilton and Roberts will discuss the issue this week.
