Railwaymen Hope To Do Boyle Deal

Crewe are hoping to extend the loan deal of Everton full back Patrick Boyle, which ran out today. The left back has been ever present in the Crewe line up since his loan move in January.

With first choice left back Billy Jones still a few weeks from a return assistant manager Neil Baker revealed that the club will extend Boyle's deal till the end of the season should Everton agree.

Baker told The Sentinel newspaper: "We spoke to David Moyes last week and are hopeful we can sign him until the end of the season."

It's fair to say that Boyle should see out the season even with the return of Billy. The Scotsman has certainly impressed the majority of fans with his comfortable displays at the back for the Alex, and maybe the slim chance of a summer signing would really make for healthy competition in the left back position next season.
