Fon In Wales Call

Rookie keeper Owain Fon Williams has once again been called up to the Wales U-21s. Williams is now the regular number one 'keeper for the young Welsh side but is still yet to make an appearance for the first team at Crewe.

The highly rated 'keepers lack of first team opportunities has been a talking point amongst fans all season, with many believing current number one, Ben Williams, not to be good enough. With Fon Williams' contract up at the end of the current season, it leaves much doubt over his future at the club, especially after newspapers linking him to Premiership clubs just a few months ago.

Also in the Wales U-21 side were former Alex loanee Simon Church and former transfer target Sam Vokes.

The call up is unlikely to see Williams absent for any Crewe games, with Wales playing Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday March 26th.

Full Squad:

Hennessey (Wolves), Fon Williams (Crewe), Gunter (Spurs), Bradley (Walsall), Jacobson (Bristol R), Basey (Charlton), Blake (Cardiff), Collison (West Ham), MacDonald (Swansea), Ramsey (Cardiff), Ribeiro (Bristol C), M. Williams (Wrexham), R. Williams (Middlesbrough), Allen (Swansea), Brown (Cardiff),Church (Reading), C. Evans (Man City), Vokes (Bournemouth).
