'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We Weren`t Expecting That

Were the words of Gillingham manager Mark Stimson after the 3-0 thrashing he side got today.

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson had labelled today's clash as a game they couldn't afford to lose due to the situation that both clubs found themselves in. Fortunately for us, that's exactly what happened.

By all accounts Crewe completely dominated the match and thoroughly deserved their 3 points today.

Stimson told kentonline 'Its a very bad day and we weren't expecting that.'

'The first 10 minutes of the game were quite even, we wanted to go out and get three points. If we didn`t win we had to go out and make sure we didn`t get beat but we didn`t do that. It was a bad day at the office and we`ve just got to look forward and move on now.'

Gillingham host Bournemouth in their next match.
