Tommo Out For The Year
Goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson faces the prospect of being out injured for the rest of 2008. The young 'keeper snapped a cruciate ligament whilst on loan at Burton Albion this month.
Tommo was hoping to stake a claim for the 'keeper spot at the Alex during his loan spell but instead could face up to nine months out. The 23 year old will have two operations on his injury before a rehabilitation period that will last at least six months.
It'll be a huge blow for Tomlinson, whose contract expires this summer, however Steve Holland has confirmed that the club will still be offering him a new contract.
