Maynard Back For Vale Game

Maynard Back For Vale Game

The injury that forced Nicky Maynard off early on Saturday isn't as serious as first thought and the striker could be back in time for the Vale game next week.

The 21 year old hobbled off with a hamstring injury in the first half of the 0-0 draw at Northampton, but after fearing the worst it now looks as if Nicky will only miss this weekend's game at home to Forest.

Maynard is said to have a small disruption of fibres in his hamstring after seeing the club doctor this morning, and now looks good to line up against Port Vale on Tuesday next week.
