Holland Reveals Roberts Disagreement

Steve Holland has revealed why he took Gary Roberts, who's on loan from Ipswich Town, off at half time on Saturday afternoon. It came as much surprise to fans to see and hear that the winger, who had been impressive in the first two games of his loan spell, had been substituted for Ryan Lowe.

However, first team coach Steve Holland revealed he didn't have much choice after Roberts refused to play the role assigned to him. The 23 year old continued his refusal at half time in the 0-0 draw at Northampton, which led to his substitution.

Steve Holland told The Sentinel Newspaper: 'Gary didn't want to do the job we asked him to do. We had a discussion about it at half time and he still didn't want to do it, so we had to make the change.

'The situation was resolved as Gary came to me on the final whistle and apologised. That is terrific, so we move on and it is the end of story.'

Holland has already approached Ipswich about extending Roberts' loan deal to the end of the season.

Toys out of the pram then!

You sure you really want him until the end of the season if he's chucking toys like that?
LUFC1
He's a gem of a loan signing for a team in our position, letting him go would be cutting our nose off to spite our face. Just have to hope it was a one off and move on... also depends exactly what he was refusing to do.
