Crewe Target Martin

Crewe are hoping to lure Norwich City's striker Chris Martin in on loan as Steve Holland hopes to improve the goal tally. The 19 year old is reported to be number one target for Holland and should the player agree to the move he could go straight into the squad for the trip to Leeds United on Saturday.

Martin burst onto the scene last season in some style, with five goals in his first nine first team games for Norwich. He however struggled to maintain that form and in 21 appearances since he hasn't scored.

Martin would become Steve Holland's third signing of the month should he come, with Holland still promising the return of former Alex striker Steve Jones by the start of next month.

Let's hope the signing isn't just a rush of blood to the head for Holland. ;)
Dink.
Martin's a decent player, if you can get him working hard enough. He's not lazy, but his enthusiasm seems to have dipped at Carrow Road, leading to him losing that edge you need to be a regular goal scorer. I think a loan could work out well for both Crewe and Chris Martin.
